Jason’s Story

Jason R

“Since I made the commitment to join FitCamp I am down to under 175 lbs, less than 10% body fat and I also feel stronger & have much more energy!”

“A couple years ago soon after my wife and I welcomed twins into our family, I weighed 240 lbs and realized I needed to do something about it.  I had been an athlete my whole life and was the captain of my lacrosse team in college (when I weighed 190 lbs), but let myself go for almost 10 years.  I was sitting in a Chinese food restaurant one night when I saw a flyer for a 10K road race.  I signed up for the race and decided that would be my goal.  It took me about 6 months of running almost everyday to get down to 210 lbs, where I hit a plateau and stayed between 200 and 210 lbs for for almost a year.  Somewhat frustrated by my lack of ability to continue to lose weight, build strength, and get faster, I was introduced by a friend to FitCamp and their nutrition program.  Since I made the commitment to do FitCamp with the support of the instructors, I am down to under 175 lbs, less than 10% body fat… I also feel stronger and have much more energy!  In the last 4 months I finished the Boston Marathon, ran a 5:39 mile, and am training for my first triathlon. I feel like I can finally consider myself and athlete again!  Patrick and Nick are the absolute best at what they do.  I have been involved with other nutritional and fitness programs before, but FitCamp is the ABSOLUTE BEST program I have been involved with.  IT WORKS!”

Congratulations Kris, Evelyn, Tim & Pat!

2009 Boston Marathon

A big congratulations is on order for Kris Gleason, Evelyn Dolan, Tim Norton and Pat Malone.

All four successfully finished this year’s 26.2 mile Boston Marathon.

Kris has been a longtime FitCamper and rumor has it this was her last marathon (Although her sister mentioned that Kris said that last year).

Evelyn is a FitCamp newcomer starting just 2 months ago and has been a great addition to our FitCamp community. She has competed in numerous marathons over the years and chaulked up another great one last Monday.

Tim is a FitCamper at heart but has taken a few months off to train for Boston and the upcoming triathlon season. This was Tim’s second Marathon. (congrats Tim!)

Pat (husband of the one and only Dawn Malone of the 5:15am FitCamp) finished his 2nd marathon also.   Although Dawn has been a FitCamper for nearly 5 years we still await the day for Pat to try class. (Open invite Pat!)

Congrats to you all. You should be very proud of such a great accomplishement. I know Nick, myself and everyone at the studio was cheering you on.

Great job!

-Patrick, Nick and the FitCamp Community!

New FitCamp Workout Anyone??

Researching some new exercises for FitCamp and came across this video. Notice he’s using a larger KB than our multi-colored at the studio and at the end that he is blind folded!!! Enjoy.

The Caveman Diet

There is so much information out there today on how you should eat. I came across this video today which I think really sums it up. While watching, think about the kinds of foods you buy while shopping each week and how those foods are impacting your health.

Hope you enjoy watching this!

And the winner is…
